Consolidation of current development planning under 5 Year Development Plan namaly, RMK12 (State and Federal) . Hence, SADA complements current development plan in terms of additional budget (alternative fund) and projects.
SADA development plan is spelt out in SAMP 2020 -2030 , SADA Development Plan 2020 -2030 (development and economic framework (vision, goals, thrusts, focus, strategies, outcome, key development areas and catalytic projects, budget and implementation plan) and projects approved by SADA (2021 – 2027).
SADA development focus (now):
a) Develop development enablers (upgrading and new roads and bridges , irrigation and drainage, riverbank protection, flood mitigation, social ameneitie, utilities etc) so as to improve well being and quality of life of rakyat
b) Socio economic activities - Focus on strengths and core capabilities (agriculture, acquaculture) and exploring new opportunities (digital economy /services, entrepreneurship, tourism, cross border economic opportunities).
*Note: Support Post Covid Development Strategy 2030 (conservation, socio economic, well being)
Immediate initiatives
a) Develop economic enablers, focusing on Infrastructure projects.
· Providing better accessibility through construction of new road networks and upgrading of existing roads (connect settlements, bringing rakyat closer to government services, development potential development areas
· Construction and improvement of irrigation and drainage infrastructure for commercialized and modernized agriculture development (agriculture ecosystem)
· Flood mitigation projects, riverbank protection
· * Approximately 65% of SADA fund has been allocated for infrastructure development
b) Education (HCD) - promote TVET (PPKS Sri Aman)
c) Agriculture - organized land development for food and cash crops
d) Aquaculture - expansion of aquaculture at Btg Ai dam
e) Livestock - Cattle farm integration
f) Tourism (product development, conservation of natural tourism assets, marketing and promotion, accessibility, CBET)
g) Social amenities (sports infrastructure)

Short Term, Mid-term and Long term initiatives (complement major development plan (RMK 12 (2021 -2020 and RMK 13 (2026-2030)
Development and economic framework, focus, direction, key projects, project priority setting, action and implementation plan are clearly spelt out in SAMP 2020 -2030 and SADA Development Plan 2020 -2030. SADA to ensure development recommendations are considered by government (ministries and departments (State and Federa) and budgeted for under their respective development programs
